  • Hybridized by Dr. K.-H. Hübbers, German grower, 1994, registered in 2008; 'Washington State Centennial' and 'Arouca' hybrid ('Stagecoach Frills' x 'Twilight Sky').
  • Grows slowly, in 10 years up to 80 cm high and 70 cm across.
  • Displays fragrant white flowers, up to 5 cm long and 6 cm across, with golden cream petal margins and a big yellow orange blotch on the upper petal, their stamens are pink with a pinkish red star in throat, they turn pinkish yellow on the outside, close to the ovary, and are held in trusses of 14.
  • Extremely resistant to powdery mildew.

  • Slow growing bush with compact habit, after 10 years reaches the height of 0.9-1.2 m.
  • Boasts elliptic hairy foliage turning various stunning shades of yellow, orange and red in autumn.
  • Blooms in early spring - displays single funnel like dark orange buds which open to broadly-flared flowers, yellow in throats and darker on their margins, almost red-orange; on the reverse their petals turn reddish; they are fragrant and appear before leaves, already on young plants.
  • Disease-resistant.

  • Hybridized by Holger Hachmann, 2009, originated from a new group of azalea called R. x mixtum by the breeder.
  • In 10 years grows up to 1 m high and across.
  • Displays delicately fragrant red flowers up to 6.6 cm across, held in rounded trusses up to 14 cm across, resembling in shape those of a characteristic cultivar of 'Homebush', its flowers are full thanks to the transformed stamens which make additional petals.
