• Fray-leaved variety of silver (warty) birch.
  • Grows into a sparse-branching habit tree up to 10 m high and 8 m wide.
  • Its side branches are drooping.
  • Displays frayed, deeply serrated leaves which make the tree look light and delicate; extremely ornamental, its top part darker than its bottom; in autumn its leaves turn yellow in hue.
  • Prefers sunny positions, ideal for growing in parks.
  • Undemanding, adaptable to soil and climatic conditions.
