• Cultivar bred by dr. K.-H. Hübbers, a German horticulturist from Kranenburg. (‘Mitternacht’ x ‘Minuet’) x ‘Corona’ hybrid, 1999, registered in 2008.
  • Grows slowly, boasts a compact ball-shaped habit.
  • Develops characteristic matt thick narrow elliptic leaves.
  • Flower buds white with a pink shade, up to 70 in trusses, open to broadly-flared cream white flowers, up to 3 cm across, which are slightly pink at their margins, dark red in throats with small blotches on the anther hollows and display a dark pink edging above the ovary, their petals often reflected. Blooms already as a young plant.
  • Resistant to kalmia leafspot (Phyllosticta kalmicola – Mycosphaerella colorata) and Phytophthora blight (Phytophthora syringae).
  • Totally cold hardy as all kalmias.
