- Grows into an evergreen shrub with a compact habit, usually becomes about 2.5 m high and wide.
- Develops evergreen, shiny dark green foliage.
- Its flower buds gathered in loose spherical inflorescences appear already in autumn and turn carmine in hue due to low temperatures, in early spring (in warmer regions often already in December) displays delicate white-pink flowers
- Yields navy blue berries.
- An extremely interesting plant with an untypical period of blooming, develops ornamental foliage, all – its flowers, fruits and leaves can be used in ornamental arrangements.
- Requires shaded positions.
- Ideal to display as a solitary plant, can also be grown in clusters, recommended for evergreen hedges.
