• Develops a beautiful ball-shaped habit with drooping branches.
• Rather small, grows up to 50-60 cm high and 60-80 cm across; when grown in a pot, it becomes about 30-40 cm high and 50 cm across.
• Develops opposite, lanceolate leaves which on the underside are covered with greyish tiny hairs; in mild winters they may remain on the shrub.
• Blooms on annual stems.
• Flowers from April till late summer; regular removal of withered flowers prolongs its blooming period.
• Displays beautiful, long and light purple inflorescences which appear on each stem; its flowers produce extremely delicate scent which attracts a lot of butterflies and other insects.
• Spring pruning recommended every year.
• Thanks to its long flowering and a compact habit it will find a place in any garden, in the patio or on a balcony.
• Cold hardy down to -25°C.
