- A small tree with an erect, narrow habit and strong growth, it grows almost twice as fast as the typical species. It grows to about 8.5 m in height and 6.5 m in diameter.
- Leaves oval-oblong, thick, leathery, initially green-red, later dark green, turning scarlet red in autumn.
- Flowers very large, white, their petals are up to 2 cm long and about 5 mm wide, gathered in clusters containing 12-14 flowers.
- Fruit large, round and slightly flattened, up to 1.2 cm in diameter, dark purple (almost black), sweet, edible. Blooms and bears fruit abundantly.
- Variety resistant to diseases.
- Frost-resistant.
