- Grows into a tree up to 6m high.
- At first, its bark is light brown but with time gets darker to eventually become chocolate-brown in colour.
- Develops dark green leaves, typical of its species, which in autumn turn yellow in hue.
- Prefers positions in full sun but also does well in partial shade.
- Soil and position tolerant.
