- Bred in 1989, (‘Thornfree’ x ‘Brazos’) x (‘Ark. 550’ x ‘Cherokee’) hybrid.
- Develops upright sprouts which yield high crop but do not regenerate too well.
- Gives big berries, up to 5 g, extremely firm with attractively glossy skin; boasts excellent taste, endures transport very well, manual harvesting recommended.
- Its fruit bearing time falls in August and lasts about 1 month.
- ‘Navaho’ is good for both production and planting in home gardens.
- Cold hardy.
