  • A well-known variety of birch with purple leaves.
  • A tree with a loose, wide crown. It grows up to 10 m high and 5 m wide.
  • The bark on young shoots is red-brown, later light grey.
  • Young leaves are dark red, older leaves are dark purple.
  • A sunny location.
  • Suitable for clay, sandy, peaty soil. It can be planted in dry soils. A tolerant plant.
  • Frost resistance zone 2.
  • Previously grafted in other nurseries, in our nursery we offer seedlings “on their own roots” propagated in the laboratory.
