• A vigorous shrub with arching shoots. It grows from 2 m to 3 m in height.
  • The leaves are lanceolate, slightly pubescent, and dark green.
  • It blooms on one-year-old shoots. The purple to dark purple flowers with an orange eye are gathered in 30 cm panicles, fragrant and attract insects, including numerous butterflies. It blooms from June to October.
  • The buddleia thrives in warm, sunny or lightly shaded locations, preferring fertile, moist soil.
  • It tolerates challenging urban conditions and is perfect for both the allotment and park settings.
  • It is not fully frost-hardy. The shoots do not wood sufficiently before winter and are often frost-damaged, but with heavy annual pruning, they regrow and flower well. Regenerates quickly in spring.
