In production:

  • Evergreen shrub with decorative young growths and inflorescences.
  • After 10 years of cultivation, the bush reaches 1.2 m in height and about 80 cm in width.
  • Leathery, glossy leaves, dark green on top, decorative throughout the year.
  • Decorative plant with young growths that are olive-red in color.
  • Flowers appearing in spring (in April), are light pink, collected in paniculate, hanging inflorescences. As the flowers fade, they become brighter, whiter, but the edges of the petals remain pink.
  • It grows best in a sheltered, sunny or semi-shaded position.
  • It prefers humus, acidic and moderately moist soils.
  • In Polish climatic conditions, it is not completely frost-resistant. It is recommended for planting in warmer regions of the country.
