Japanese Pieris (Pieris japonica) is an evergreen bush reaching even 3m high. It is a poisonous plant belonging to the family of Ericaceae (heather) plants which originated from the eastern areas of China and Japan.
An ornamental bush. Its young foliage often boasts beautiful colours, e.g. red or pinkish white. Its bell-like flowers, gathered in long drooping panicles are also extremely ornamental.
