Willow

(Salix L.)

Willow is a genus of trees, shrubs, or creeping shrubs in the willow family (Salicaceae Mirb.). These plants often grow near water and in damp places. The flowers are insect-pollinated, less often wind-pollinated. Many species are cultivated, mainly as ornamental plants.
