A giant fruit cranberry (Vaccinium macrocarpon) is a perennial, evergreen shrub from the Ericaceae family. Its creeping, long shoots display small light pink flowers from June till the end of July. It bears oval or spherical fruits (depending on a variety) with shiny skin which ripen from September till October.
