White currant derives from the family of Grossulariaceae. In the wild, it grows in eastern areas of North America; however, it is cultivated in many countries, including Poland. Usually, due to pruning, its bushes do not exceed the height of 1.5m. It blooms profusely in April and usually at the end of July and at the beginning of August bears considerably large, whiteish berries gathered in clusters.
