Tibetan Goji

Lycium tibeticium

A plant variety belonging to the Solanaceae family.

It usually grows into a small shrub with arching and cascading pedicles. It produces elongated red berries with a nice sweet taste which can be enjoyed raw, processed or eaten as dried fruits. They are extremely rich in vitamins and minerals, and also contain strong antioxidants.

Goji berries have been highly recognized for ages in the Far East. They have been known for over two thousand years and have been successfully used in traditional Tibetan and Chinese  medicine. They are used there both as an additive to various dishes and as a medicinal plant.
