- A wild Finnish sea buckthorn and a Russian sea buckthorn cross.
- A female cultivar.
- Grows into a small tree, may reach up to 2.0-3.0 m high; an edible plant with remarkably pro-health and medicinal properties.
- Boasts lanceolate silvery leaves.
- Develops elevated branches almost without any thorns.
- Displays wind pollinated inconspicuous flowers which appear towards the end of March.
- Bears fruits orange in hue, sweet with fresh and extremely aromatic flavour – they appear in August and September and grow up to 1.5 cm long, recommended for jams and other fruit preserves.
- Requires cross-pollination to yield a good crop; the male variety Otto is a very good cross-pollinator.
- Soil tolerant, thrives even in poor and sandy soils; drought tolerant and resistant to pathogens.
