Grandiflora

Hydrangea paniculata
  • Grows into a shrub up to 2-3 m high, develops a loose habit with drooping flowerheads.
  • Boasts rough matt green leaves.
  • Blooms profusely on new, annual stems.
  • Displays extremely large, cone-like crème-white inflorescences which appear in July and gradually turn pink in hue; wilted flowerheads do not fall off but stay dehydrated  in shrubs and become exceptionally ornamental in the garden throughout the autumn and winter.
  • Tolerant and easy to grow; however, it thrives in sunny and sheltered positions in permeable soils.
  • Requires spring pruning.
  • Cold hardy.
