Hydrangea paniculata
  • Grows into a shrub up to 3 m high, develops erect stiff sprouts.
  • Boasts slightly shiny green leaves.
  • Blooms on annual stems.
  • Develops large, cone-like slender inflorescences; blooms from August to the autumn, displays nicely scented flowers which lure insects; wilted flowerheads do not fall off but remain in shrubs and become extremely ornamental in the garden throughout the autumn and winter.
  • Tolerant and easy to grow; however, it does best in sunny and sheltered positions in permeable soils.
  • Requires pruning in the spring.
  • Totally cold hardy.
