- The shrub grows up to 1.5 m tall and wide. The shoots are thin and covered with thorns.
- The spherical, red fruit, with a waxy coating, ripens from mid-July.
- The fruit is suitable for preserves, fresh desserts, or frozen foods.
- It usually begins bearing fruit in the second year after planting – best fruiting occurs 6-8 years after planting.
- Sunny or partly shaded location. Fertile, moist, loose, slightly acidic soil.
- Frost-resistant.
