- A dwarf, densely branched shrub. Compact habit. After 10 years of cultivation, it grows to approximately 0.4 m high and 0.7 m wide.
- The flowers are intensely pink, funnel-shaped, single, gathered in numerous terminal inflorescences. The upper petal has a dark pink speckled pattern. Single, quite large. Blooms profusely in the second half of May.
- Requires a sunny or semi-shaded location and moderately moist, acidic soil.
- Ideal for small gardens, borders, and rock gardens.
- Frost hardiness is good, but may experience light frost damage in the coldest regions of the country.
