- A breakthrough in the cultivation of Kalmia with small leaves.
- Grows slowly into a compact habit.
- Develops almost white blush pink buds which open broadly flat and look like magic stars scattered in a ball-shaped bush; its flowers are white and adorned with claret-coloured blotches but their rims remain white, they have no inner ring at the corona base, are white in throats and grow to an unusual length of up to 3.2 cm.
- Totally cold-hardy as all kalmias.
