  • The plants produce two types of leaves – spring and summer. Spring leaves are distributed along the entire length of the young growth.
  • Summer leaves are clustered around the flower buds at the shoot tips. The leaves are green and glossy. The leaves remain on the shrub in winter.
  • The flowers are pure white with pink speckles on the upper petals. The petal edges are slightly wavy, broadly funnel-shaped, and clustered in groups of several at the shoot tips. They appear in May/June.
  • It prefers sunny to partly shaded locations and humus-rich, acidic soil.
  • Relatively easy to grow, these plants have no major site requirements.
  • They are perfect for small home gardens, rockeries, heathlands, and Japanese gardens.
  • Frost resistance up to -21°C.
