- A shrub or small tree with a round and dense crown, grows up to 7 m high. Fast growth (grows faster than other serviceberries).
- Leaves are ovate, 4.5 cm long and about 3.5 cm wide. In spring, the leaves are light green, in summer dark green, in autumn they turn light red or orange-red, which is what makes this plant decorative.
- Flowers are white, fragrant, gathered in clusters up to 7.5 cm long and containing up to 12 flowers. They appear before the leaves develop, at the end of March. Inflorescences are resistant to frost.
- Fruits are small, spherical, purple-black, 6-8 mm in diameter. This is primarily an ornamental variety, but the fruits are tasty and edible, they can be used to make jams. Eagerly eaten by birds.
- Variety resistant to diseases.
- Prefers sunny, moist and permeable soils, but also tolerates slight drought well. Frost resistance down to -45°C.
