- Cultivar bred by dr. K.-H. Hübbers, a German horticulturist from Kranenburg. ‘Mitternacht’ and ‘Ginkona’ hybrid, 2002, registered in 2007.
- Boasts an erect habit.
- Young sprouts of red colour.
- Typical leather-like dark green leaves.
- Displays big flowers, about 3 cm across, with a distinct auburn stripe in throat, the corolla edges pale pink, almost white in shade, flowers pale pink in throat with few dark spots, flower buds pinkish brown. Boasts up to 200 flowers in trusses, blooms extremely profusely.
- Resistant to diseases, especially to kalmia leafspot (Phyllosticta kalmicola – Mycosphaerella colorata).
- Completely cold hardy – as all kalmias.
