- ‘Mitternacht’ and ‘Ginkona’ cross, bred by Dr Karl-Heinz Hübbers in 2001 and named by Tadeusz Kusibab in 2016.
- Develops a compact habit and in 10 years grows up to 80 cm high and 60 cm wide.
- Enjoys shiny elliptical dark green leaves 8 cm long and 3 cm wide.
- At the top its buds are whitish, slightly pink and at the bottom darker in hue, verged on light brown and broadly open to bowl-like, five-petal flowers with a wide dark claret ribbon on the margin, fringed with a beautifully contrasting, thin white ring; in throats they are adorned with a blotch resembling a many-branched star and at the base they are white; an individual flower grows up to 3 cm wide.
- Totally cold hardy as all kalmias.
