- Bred by the Niva – Berry Plant Breeders; protected.
- An early raspberry variety, bears fruits on annual canes, everbearing.
- Grows moderately strongly, produces a dozen stiff canes covered with small thorns; also develops a considerable number of root shoots.
- Its fruits are firm, large (7 g), shiny and lively red in colour, and retain exceptional flavour for the whole harvesting time; good for long keeping, do not get dark after harvesting and are transport tolerant; tasty, can be enjoyed raw, recommended for preserves, excellent for deep freezing.
- Can be harvested early (at the end of July and at the beginning of August).
- Recommended for the fresh fruit market and for fruit processing; thanks to its bush habit and exposed fruits, which come easily off their stems, good for mechanical harvesting.
- Should rather be grown under covers, also good for home gardens and commercial plantations; Delniwa fits into a gap between summer varieties bearing fruits on biennial canes and those repeating fruiting.
- Delniwa is little susceptible to red spider mites and noble/grey rot and raspberry leaf and bud mite (Phyllocoptes Gracilis); resistant to diseases, especially to the RBDV virus, quite commonly appearing in Poland.
- Protected, entered into COBORU, the Polish Plant Variety Register under number S 682. CPVO – Application Number R S912.
