- A small, vigorous shrub with a compact habit.
- After 10 years of cultivation, it reaches approximately 40 cm in height and 90 cm in width.
- The leaves are small, dark green, turning burgundy in autumn. The leaves are partially evergreen (the number of overwintering leaves depends on the severity of the winter).
- The flowers are bell-shaped, intensely purple, with wavy petals, 2.5 to 3 cm in diameter. They are clustered in inflorescences at the tips of the shoots. It blooms in the second half of May.
- It prefers acidic soil and moderate moisture. It can grow in sun and partial shade.
- Frost-resistant to -23°C. Recommended for sheltered locations.
