- A dwarf, dense shrub with a compact, cushion-like habit.
- After 10 years of cultivation, it grows to 0.4 m (1.6 ft) in height and 0.6 m (2.2 ft) in width.
- The leaves are decorative, dark green, evergreen, and glossy, turning bronze in winter.
- The flowers are semi-double, light pink, darkening as they fade, from 4.8 to 5 cm (1.5 to 2 in) in diameter. The upper petals have a darker pink pattern. They are gathered in numerous inflorescences located at the tips of the shoots. It blooms profusely and regularly in the second half of May.
- Requires sunny or partially shaded locations and acidic, moderately moist soil.
- This variety looks beautiful planted alongside other heather-like and acidophilous plants.
