- A small shrub with a spreading and rather wide habit. After 10 years, it reaches approximately 1.5 m in height.
- Leaves are elliptical, 4.5 cm long and 1.8 cm wide, dark green, semi-evergreen.
- Flowers are dark pink-red, semi-double (hose-in-hose). Individual flowers are 4.5-5 cm in diameter. They are gathered in inflorescences of 1-3 at the tips of the shoots. Blooms profusely, blooming in May.
- Requires a sunny or partially shaded location. Prefers moderately moist, humus-rich, acidic soil.
- Due to its small size, it is suitable for small gardens. It is often planted in compositions with other heather-like and acidophilous plants.
- This variety is quite frost-hardy. It is recommended to plant the shrubs in sheltered locations, sheltered from winter winds.
