- A dwarf variety. A compact, hemispherical, cushion-like habit. 10-year-old specimens reach up to 0.4 m (1.2 ft) in height and 0.6 m (2.2 ft) in width.
- The leaves are ovate, 2.5 cm (1 in) long, dark green, and glossy. In winter, they turn reddish-brown and persist on the shrub.
