• A low, compact, evergreen shrub.
  • The leaves are light green, elliptical, and glossy with delicate hairs.
  • The flowers are semi-double, light pink, with delicate dark pink flecking on some of the petals, and broadly funnel-shaped. They are gathered in terminal inflorescences. Blooms in May.
  • Prefers partial shade, an acidic pH, and average, moderately moist garden soil.
  • It is most often planted in home gardens, but also in parks, rock gardens, and heathlands.
  • Frost hardiness is moderate, but it requires a sheltered location.
