- A large shrub growing to 3-4 m in height and similar in width. Upright, fairly wide habit.
- Decorative with dark green, shiny leaves that turn red in autumn.

- Fruits are large, 1 cm in diameter, navy blue-black, after freezing, tasty also raw. Rich in vitamins and antioxidants. Eagerly eaten by birds.
