- It blooms profusely in white. The flowers are double, snow-white, with a green marking on the upper petal. They bloom in May.
- It prefers acidic, well-drained soil (pH 3.5-4.5), and moderate moisture.
- A sunny or partially shaded location is preferred.
- It is frost-hardy, but it is best planted in a sheltered location. In open locations exposed to strong winds, it is recommended to cover it for winter.
