• Selected by R. Jaynes (1982), Kalmia latifolia f. myrtifolia hybrid seedling.
  • Regarded as a miniature or dwarf kalmia cultivar, however, in good conditions grows vigorously into shrubs over 2 m high.
  • It has white flowers. At the base of the petals there is a pink streak that creates an attractive border around the pistil and stamens. The flower buds are pastel pink, decorative, ribbed.
  • A considerably significant kalmia cultivar, requires pruning to increase its vigorous growth, then makes perfect shrubs with numerous densely leaved stems covered in many flower buds.
  • Resistant to kalmia leafspot (Phyllosticta kalmicola – Mycosphaerella colorata).
  • Totally cold hardy as all kalmias.
